Bernard Sichère

Professor of Philosophy

Université de Paris 7 (René Descartes), Paris

Professor Bernard Sichère has successfully passed Agrégation de Philosophie and teaches since 1966.

He is presently teaching at Université de Paris 7 (René Descartes). Also a novelist his range of topics is wide: from Shakespeare to psycho-analyst Jacques Lacan.

These last ten years a preoccupation for theological questions from a philosophical point of view is obvious with books entitled: Histories du Mal (Stories of Evil), Le Dieu des écrivains (the God of writers), Seul un Dieu peut encore nous sauver (Only a God is still able t save us), taking from the last sentence of German philosopher Martin Heidegger, Le jour est proche (The day is near).

His interest for Iranian Islamic philosophy, following the track opened by Henry Corbin in the 50’s and continued by Christian Jambet is notable.

Professor Sichère has though never communicated in an Arab country.
