The Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies Welcomes the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Jordan

As the Royal Institute for Inter-faith Studies continues its efforts to strengthen diplomatic relations with various diplomatic missions, The Institute welcomed Ambassador Tselane Mokuena, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on an official visit to the Institute’s headquarters.

She was welcomed by Dr. Tagreed Odeh, General Director of the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies, and Dr. Amer Al-Hafi, the Institute’s Academic Adviser.

During the meeting, ongoing and future projects and programmes implemented by the Institute in the fields of interfaith dialogue and the promotion of understanding and coexistence were discussed, in addition to a review of the key issues and themes that are the focus of the Institute’s work at both the local and international levels. The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen mutual collaboration and develop prospects for partnership in areas of shared interest.

The Institute commended the Republic of South Africa’s humanitarian and political stance on the Palestinian cause, which aligns with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s steadfast position in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, emphasising the importance of continuing international efforts in support of justice and peace.
