Dr. Rene Hattar, RIIFS Director, participated in the Arab Regional launch of the UNESCO Framework for Enabling Intercultural Dialogue (ICD), in cooperation with the Anna Lindh Foundation, which was held at the UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut on 30-31 May 2023.
Dr. Hattar made an intervention in a session entitled: “Promising and Innovative Practices”, in which she shared the experience of the Royal Institute on one of the regional projects implemented by the Institute in Jordan using the arts as a peaceful and non-violent tool for dialogue between cultures.
The conference included workshops and dialogue sessions in which participants and experts discussed the state of intercultural dialogue in the Arab region, and ways to enhance it using the UNESCO framework
