His Highness Prince Hassan bin Talal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Institute of Inter-Faith Studies, met today, with students from the Thai community studying in the faculties of shariea in Jordanian universities, in the presence of the Thai Ambassador to Jordan Supak Bron Tora.
His Highness reaffirmed the importance of affection in kinship that brings Muslims together, especially in the light of the Marrakesh earthquake tragedy and the disaster in Libya.
The meeting comes in conclusion of the project “Young Leaders in Multicultural Society” carried out by the Royal Institute in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand in Amman for the second consecutive year. The project aims to train a number of Thai students from lecturers in the Law faculties of Yarmouk University, the University of Jordan, the Universities of Jarsh, Mauta and Applied Sciences, in order to learn more about religious diversity in Jordan, the importance of cooperation between religious followers, as well as the importance of fostering respect for each other and different religious and cultural identities.
