WORLD INTER-FAITH HARMONY WEEK ACTIVITIES

In collaboration with the Thai Embassy in Amman and El Hassan Youth Award, RIIFS organized a two-day trip during the World Interfaith Harmony Week. The aim of the event was to promote positive interaction and mutual understanding among young participants from various Jordanian universities. As part of the programme, the participants visited the baptism site and several churches to learn about their historical and religious significance. During the visit, Dr. Rami Naffa, a researcher at RIIFS, provided an overview of the site’s significance and symbolism, followed by a discussion session with the participants on the symbolism of water in Christianity and Islam.

Additionally, the participants visited the shrine of Abu Obeida Amer bin Al-Jarrah in the Ghor region, where RIIFS Academic Advisor, Dr. Amer Al-Hafi, spoke about the shrine’s symbolism and significance.
