"Tourathna" Our Shared Heritage Training Guide
Tourathna – Our Shared Heritage,” is a project implemented by Search for Common Ground Jordan in partnership with the Royal Institute for Interfaith Studies. The project was funded by the U.S Department of State, and implemented from October 2018 to May 2020 in targeting six historical and religious sites in five governorates of Jordan: Irbid, Ajloun, Madaba, Aqaba, and Salt.
New Horizons Project
The "New Horizons for Religious Leaders and Community Activists" project is one of the projects implemented in Jordan as part of a regional project titled "Promoting Interfaith Peace in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq," in partnership with the Mennonite Central Committee and the Association for Development for Humanity and the Environment, with support from the European Union.
Islam in the West
The International Conference on Islam in the West took place at the Landmark Hotel in Amman on September 29-30, 2019. The conference was organized by the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies and the Friedrich Nauman Foundation for Freedom, under the patronage of HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, Chairman of the board of trustees of the RIIFS. Conference was attended by experts from Europe and the Arab/Islamic world.
Freedom of Worship in Jordan during the COVID-19 Pandemic
This study aims to provide an objective and qualitative analysis to assess the freedom of worship and practice of religious rituals in Jordan during the pandemic as well as drawing attention to lived experiences during the lockdown. It may help officials, decision-makers and religious leaders in confronting the crisis and adjusting within the available resources. It might also improve the ability of religious institutions to handle the current crisis, or any other similar challenges in the future.
Empowered trainers manual
This training manual focuses on the following main subjects: citizenship, human rights, differences, diversity, pluralism, dialogue, interconnections, and communication. The Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies (RIIFS) formed a scientific committee which included a number of experts on various topics related to the content of the project, from both Jordan and Denmark, who in turn prepared the scientific material and exercises for the manual.
