The Royal Institute for Religious Studies received a delegation from the Religious Dialogue Department in the Munich Parish and the Protestant Academy of the Lutheran Church in Bavaria/Germany. The meeting includes an explanation about the history of the institute, its message and the programs it carries out, followed by two sessions: the first on Eastern Christianity in Jordan and the region, presented by Dr. Renee Hattar, the director of the institute, and the second on religious dialogue and Islamic Christian relations in Jordan, presented by both Archbishop Jamal Khidr, the deputy of Latin in Jordan, and Dr. Amer Al-Hafi, Academic consultant of the institute and professor of comparative religious science at Al-Bayt University.The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Andreas Reins about the Munich Diocese, and Mrs. Utah Hoicht Stoyer about the Lutheran Church in Bavaria, and the guests interact with the speakers in an in-depth conversation and various questions about the topics of the meeting.On Thursday, March 17th, RIIFS welcomed a Delegation from the Department of Dialogue of Religions at the Archdiocese of Munich and the Protestant Academy of Munich of the Lutheran Church in Bavaria/Germany.The meeting included a brief introduction about RIIFS history, mission and programs, followed by two sessions: the first, on Oriental Christianity in Jordan and the region, by Dr Renee Hattar, RIIFS Director and the second, on Interfaith relations in Jordan, by H.E. Monsignor Jamal Khader, Patriarchal Vicar of the Latin Patriarchate in Jordan and Dr Amer El Hafi, RIIFS Academic Advisor, and a professor of religious studies at Al-Bayt University. The delegation was led by Dr. Andreas Renz, a theologian and religious leader at the Archdiothese of Munich, and Mrs. Jutaa Hoecht-Stoehr, a theologian, and Pastor of the Lutheran Church in Bavaria. The session ended with an open discussion and questions from the guests to speakers.
