| His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of RIIFS, presided over the ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between RIIFS and the Sheikh Nahyan Center for Arabic Studies and Intercultural Dialogue at the University of Balamand (UOB). Dr. Majeda Omar, RIIFS director, represented the institute and Dr. Elias Halabi, Associate Director of the Nahyan Center, represented the University at the ceremony, which took place in Amman on 7 September 2016. The agreement affirms the belief in partnership and cooperation among academic and research institutions as an important tool for mutual understanding of religions and cultures, and for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge. |
