In celebration of the World Interfaith Harmony Week, the Faculty of Sharia at Al al-Bayt University, in collaboration with RIIFS, hosted a seminar on “Challenges Facing the Contemporary Family”.
The pastor of the Latin Church in Mafraq, Father Tariq Hijazin, talked about the elements of a happy and cohesive family that is built on love among all its members and is capable of facing the challenges of the times, the most important of which are economic problems, social and psychological challenges, the negative use of social media and religious ignorance. The head of Fundamentals of Religion department, Prof. Dr. Ali Ajen, explained the internal and external challenges facing the contemporary family and the immoral phenomena resulting from globalization that negatively affected the cohesion of the family. He emphasized that following the Sunnah of our Prophet in building the family plays a great role in protecting it from destructive phenomena.
